چکیده

(1) Background: In time, stone monuments suffer a process of aging and loss aesthetic mechanical properties. order to restore stop the their properties, various treatments are used, in this context, new class discovered materials with interesting properties layered double hydroxides, or LDHs. (2) Methods: The LDHs, prepared by coprecipitation method, were characterized structure X-ray diffraction, composition FT-IR spectroscopy fluorescence spectroscopy, size diffuse light scattering, porosity N2 adsorption/desorption. Additionally, some microscopy techniques such as optical SEM/EDAX used for surface aspects morphology, finally, all these checked ImageJ software representative roughness parameters treated surfaces brushing incorporation. (3) Results: show different degrees crystallinity textural dispersion material presents good stability time water/ethanol mixtures. Treatment LDH applied led improvements (about 5% increase compressive strength), an increased 30%), improvement resistance freeze–thaw cycles. specimens’ not altered treatments. (4) Conclusions: consolidation efficacity was CaMgAl-LDH > MgAl-LDH CaAl-LDH, better application than

Layered Double Hydroxides (LDHs): An Efficient Catalyst System for the Synthesis of Chiral Aminonitriles

Strecker reaction is one of the simplest multicomponent reactions. It used for synthesis of chiral α-amino nitriles. This reaction was carried out in the presence of catalytic amount of layered double hydroxides (LDHs). In this study, simple and practical method for the synthesis of this class of catalysts is provided. The results shown that LDH is the good heterogen catalyst for synthesis of c...

Layered Double Hydroxides (LDHs): Versatile and Powerful Hosts for Different Applications

Layered double hydroxides (LDHs), also known as anionic clays or hydrotalcite-like materials, are a large family of 2D materials constituted by positively charged sheets of hydroxides intercalated by negatively charged anions. In general, the hydrotalcite structures are very robust, with a wide range of possible compositions and so with easily tunable functional properties. In fact, the most ap...

ANION EXCHANGE REACTIONS OF LAYERED DOUBLE HYDROXIDES (LDHs) AND LAYERED HYDROXY SALTS (LHSs): QUANTIFICATION OF ION EXCHANGE Abstract Anion exchange reactions of a number of layered double hydroxides with inorganic anions

Anion exchange reactions of a number of layered double hydroxides with inorganic anions were investigated. The five LDH systems used in this study were Mg-Al, Ni-Al, Co-Al, Zn-Al and Zn-Cr. Ni-Zn hydroxynitrate and Ni-Zn hydroxyacetate were the LHSs used in this work. In general, all the LDHs and nickel zinc hydroxysalts exhibited higher extent of exchange towards chloride ions. The extent of e...
